Discover Halesworth with the family this Easter! There will be plenty to keep the children and teens busy during the Easter School Holidays.
There are three trails happening through town between the 5th – 19th April. Trail sheets are £1 and available from Hetty’s Little Copy Shop, The Halesworth Book Shop and the Library. Follow the clues and win some super prizes along the way!
Explore the beautiful Millennium Green and follow the Butterfly trail. Start at the basketball court and carry on along the towpath. What other wildlife might you see? Keep your eyes peeled for insects, fish and birds!
Join Jade and her team to unleash your inner artist at Purple Pumpkin Creative Studio to decorate some glass eggs (suitable for those aged 6-10 years old) Spaces are limited so please book early. You can also enjoy pottery painting and other activities through the hols – booking is always advisable, please visit the website.
St Mary’s Church will be holding their free family picnics between 11.30am – 1pm on Thursday 10th & Thursday 17th April. Join them for a cuppa and some free lunch.
Get involved in some Easter Crafts at the United Reform Church between 10am-12pm or St Mary’s Church 12-3pm on Tuesday 15th April.
Join the fantastic Easter Egg Hunt in the Thoroughfare from 11am on Saturday 12th April. Will you meet the Easter Bunny??
If you have a young person aged 8-11 who are interested in screen-writing or acting then take up this fantastic FREE opportunity and sign them up to these brilliant workshops run by INK Festival. Taking place at Edgar Sewter School from Monday 14th – Thursday 17th April 10am-4pm, they will have the opportunity to create a short stage play and perform it at INK Festival!
If you think your children or young adults may be interested in Golf but they have never played before, take them along to the Junior Golf Open day happening on the 12th April at Halesworth Golf Club between 10am-3pm. The Club is in a beautiful location spanning 200 acres and offers excellent facilities – pro shop, driving range and bar/restaurant with function rooms as well as a stunning 9 hole and 19 hole courses. If your children are already familiar with the game then sign them up to the Junior Golf Days happening throughout Easter.
The Library will be running activities for children over the Easter holidays – keep an eye on their Facebook page to find out more. And of course you can pop in to borrow books, CD’s, audio books, DVDs and much more.
Our beautiful Cafes and Delis will be full of delicious homemade easter goodies including hot cross buns, cookies, easter nests and many more for all your naughty treats! The Angel Hotel has an excellent children’s menu, or soak up some spring sunshine in the White Swan’s beer garden. Treat the older teens to a game of pool or snooker and a burger at Chinnys Sports Bar. Enjoy pizza at the Tap Room – now served all day and try out the new roast dinners on the menu at Farmhouse Bakery.
