Sonic Wave : Broken Spoke + Bonuru (double bill)
Sonic Wave returns to The Cut for its final event of the year: a double bill of genre-blending music with Broken Folk and Bonuru.
BROKEN FOLK are the East Anglian trio of pianist Will Fergusson, percussionist Les Chappell, and multi-instrumentalist poet Jason Parr, blending folk, jazz, and spontaneous creativity into unique performances.
BONURU are an outstanding Ipswich nu-jazz collective, mixing punchy brass and live electronics with rock, soul and dub. Definitely one to watch as they’ve received airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 3 and Jazz FM.
Once again, from 6 to 7pm you can also enjoy a vegetarian meal with flavours from Europe and the Middle East, make sure you book in advance and arrive early! At 7pm, the Waveney SHE choir will perform a few songs in the café, then the concerts in the theatre begin at 7:30pm.
