Thursday Book Talk: Natalie Meg Evans at Halesworth Library

June 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

NATALIE MEG EVANS – LOVE, LOSS AND THE BLITZ: WHY SHE WRITES STORIES OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR
To celebrate the publication of The Lady at the Lodging House, bestselling historical novelist Natalie Meg Evans presents an illustrated talk exploring why she is drawn again and again to stories set during the Second World War. Through the drama of the London Blitz, Natalie discusses how wartime fiction allows ordinary lives, friendships, courage and heartbreak to be seen at their most intense. Her latest trilogy of novels follows three young women sharing a Mayfair lodging house while bombs fall across the capital and their personal lives become as turbulent as the city around them.
Natalie is the author of 17 novels and has appeared on The New York Times top 100 list. She also writes murder mystery novels as Kay Blythe.

Talk and refreshments are free, but donations to the Friends are always welcome. It helps the smooth running of the event if you can sign-up ahead & this is essential if you have special (e.g. seating) requirements. So ask at the Library Counter; phone the Library on 01986 506062; or email: friendsofhalesworthlibrary@gmail.com
