The Angel & The White Hart are situated on our vibrant pedestrianised Thoroughfare – currently awash with colour from all the planters in full bloom. Chinny’s Sports Bar on Norwich Road is a great choice for the teenagers – pool, snooker and darts to keep them entertained. All the above offer children’s menus along with baby changing facilities and all are a short walk from the Town Park. The Angel and Chinny’s have their own free Car Parks and The White Hart has direct access to the Middle Car Park which offers Ringo parking. If you fancy a mid-morning pastry or a picnic lunch, pop into the award winning Black Dog Deli or Focus Organic. The Greenhouse – also a planty paradise – is a great choice for simple, homemade fayre, often with vegan and gluten free options. Enjoy outdoor seating at them all and watch the world go by.

Halesworth has an excellent selection of charity and secondhand shops. Whether you are looking for books, board games, clothes, shoes, accessories… you’re bound to find it here. Dee’s Den at Steeple End, EACH at Angel Link, St Elizabeth Hospice in the Thoroughfare and Helping Hand in the Middle Car Park are all treasure troves. You can even pick up secondhand bikes at Cycle, Car & Camping Accessories. And of course there is a great selection of pre-loved school uniform available in St Mary’s Church.
Transport
Halesworth is easily accessible by train and bus, and the train station and bus stops are a short walk into town. We are only 2 hours from London – children under 5 travel free with Greater Anglia and 5-15 year old fares are half the adult price fare. There are also some great offers to be had on First Buses including discount Family tickets, so you can reach Halesworth from Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Ipswich, Lowestoft, Beccles Southwold and more.
